The partnership of Palmer & Bachelders (aka Palmers &
Bachelders) was formed in 1846 between Julius Palmer,
Augustus Edwin Bachelder, Isaac M. Bachelder and Josiah
Bachelder.  Additional partners joined the business in 1865 and it became
known as Palmer, Bachelder & Co. 1865-1888.

1847-1855.  Silversmith and jeweler, he also ran a daguerreotype gallery
and was one of the first early photographers in North Carolina.

Founded by Stavre Gregor Panis and his wife Gladys H. Panis.  Makers of handwrought
sterling Arts & Crafts small items and jewelry.   Gladys's mark includes a "G" off to the
side of the mark shown at right.
