1852 and the name changed to Clark & Co.  There is no information regarding Clark after 1840.  The
business of Clark & Co. remained operating until at least 1860.

store in 1846 in Athens, GA.  His brother, Asaph King Child, joined the branch
in 1847 and they formed the partnership of O. & A.K. Childs.  The partnership was dissolved in 1861 when
Asaph enlisted in the Confederate Army.
